Real Madrid has been linked with a move for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Oihan Sancet, according to reports. Bilbao is willing to pay €30 million for the 21-year-old midfielder.
Only a few days ago, the Spaniard made headlines when he scored a hat-trick in Athletic Bilbao's 3-1 La Liga victory over Osasuna. After rising through Bilbao's youth divisions, he made his La Liga debut in 2019. Sancet has made 57 appearances in the league since then, scoring seven goals and assisting on another six. Oihan Sancet is being watched by Real Madrid for a variety of reasons. He can play as a second striker or as an aggressive midfielder. With the likes of Gareth Bale, Mariano Diaz, and Luka Jovic rumoured to be leaving, Sancet might fill in for Karim Benzema. If necessary, he may also play as a midfielder to cover for Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
The Spaniard is yet to receive an official offer from Los Blancos. If he continues to grow at this rate, it won't be long until the Spanish giants pay the €30 million transfer fee.
